The story

I had the top national 1/4 mile DSM AWD record for the small 16g turbo at 11.82mph in 2001 with this car. That turbo is only rated for 320 max crank hp. However based on the 1/4 mile results and the weight with me in the car it was producing at least 420 to the tire (about 500 at the engine considering AWD drivetrain losses). I am in the process of upgrading the engine with a stroker crank forged rods and pistons, a stage 2 GSC cam upgraded valve springs with titanium retainers. That will be installed with a much larger dual ball bearing turbo with a Forced Performance turbine housing and exhaust manifold and converting to run flex fuel (E85) with huge injectors. I have also upgraded the clutch to a 2900 pound version and upgraded the transmission with a 4 spider center differential. This combo should be capable of 10.x second times in the 1/4 mile.
